Codevetta

The Offering

A one-time architecture & code risk review for product owners and developers. It can be coded by yourself, a contractor, or built using AI, low-code, or "vibe coding" tools.

Most expensive mistakes aren't bugs — they're early decisions you didn't know were wrong.

I specifically review for:

  • Decisions that will hurt you in 3–12 months
  • Architecture bottlenecks and scaling limits
  • Security and authentication risks
  • Data integrity and migration issues
  • Error handling and observability gaps
  • Maintainability and long-term technical debt

What Do You Get?

  • A prioritized risk assessment (what will break first)
  • A clear ship / don't ship yet recommendation
  • Actionable fixes ranked by impact vs effort
  • Deep dives where risks are significant

Why Get an Architecture & Code Risk Review?

This is for you if:

  • You've built something using AI or low-code tools and want a professional sanity check before production.
  • You know how to code, but want to make sure you have everything ready.
  • You want a second set of experienced eyes before committing to production.

Why Me?

I've spent 30+ years building and shipping production software across startups, enterprise and government projects, and long-running products.

I've been working with LLMs and AI coding tools for over a year, so I understand both traditional development pitfalls and the new failure modes that come with AI-assisted code.

How To Go About It?

This service is typically used right before launch, major refactors, or handoffs — when mistakes are expensive and hard to undo. Typical engagements are early-stage or small-to-medium-sized codebases (MVPs, single services, or pre-launch products). If your project is unusually large or complex, I'll let you know upfront.
